He was given the prize on October 16 as his third album the album was chosen as the top album of the previous year.

Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these locations have permanently closed – approximately 16% of the total UK scene.

Recently, well-known musicians such as Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the MVT in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by including a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which supports smaller concert halls.

The money helped spaces that were confronting imminent closure due to issues caused by floods, blazes and bereavements, as well as permit problems, conflicts and neighbor objections.

Other venues obtained funding support in improving infrastructure and technical equipment that positively impacted musicians and audiences.

"The idea that money from concerts in big venues backs the smaller venues, where it begins for artists like me, is just common sense," the star has said.
