The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.
