The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
