In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure centers on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
